Benefits

Raw cacao is good for you because it boasts so many health benefits.

Raw cacao still retains all its living enzymes & is a fantastic anti-oxidant food. It is rich in minerals, magnesium, potassium, iron, calcium, zinc, manganese & copper.

Coconut milk has anti-carcinogenic, anti-microbial, anti-bacterial, & anti-viral benefits. The main saturated fat that it contains, lauric acid, is also found in mother's milk and has been shown to promote brain development & bone health.

Date syrup has an excellent iron content & is rich in vitamins, minerals, and dietary fibers. Dates themselves are an excellent energy booster with the right type of sugar our body needs.

Cacao butter is more pure than cocoa butter & has a higher number of antioxidants benefits. The raw flavour and texture remains intact without needing to add chemicals or stabilizers to retain the integrity of the cacao butter. Cocoa butter on the other hand, often requires stabilizers once it is heated beyond a certain temperature. That’s why I would only recommend to gently heat this recipe slowly so you don’t damage any of the live enzymes.

Cinnamon is fantastic at balancing blood sugar levels, especially Ceylon cinnamon which is generally a little more expensive than cassia cinnamon.

Maca is a wonderful super food & is rich in vitamin B, C, & E. It provides plenty of calcium, zinc, iron, magnesium, phosphorous & amino acids.

Vanilla extract contains numerous antioxidants & also has anti- inflammation properties, which may even lower cholesterol.

This is such a wonderful recipe that has been tried & tested on my family & friends. Everyone absolutely loves it & I know you will too.
