Antioxidant Smoothie

Ingredients

Preparatioin time: 5 minutes, serves 1

  • One Banana chopped.

  • I serving of frozen red berries

  • Half a cup of coconut milk

  • One serving of plant based protein.

  • Two table spoons of plain porridge oats.

  • One teaspoon of maca.

  • One probiotic capsule

  • Optional tablespoon each of ground flaxseeds and chia seeds.


This is perfect for people who are short on time in the mornings and children absolute love this too.

Instructions

Simply peel the banana and cut into slices and place all fruit in the blender along with all the other ingredients . Depending on how runny you like your smoothies you might like to add more liquid, either coconut milk or a little water.
This smoothie makes a fantastic start to your day because not only will it keep you satisfied until lunch. It contains two super foods from the red berries and maca ,which is perfect for a slow release of energy and performance.
I would recommend using raw protein and I prefer to use Warrior blend as I know its plant based and natural, gluten free, dairy free, hypo-allergenic and is non-GMO.

I find the frozen fruit makes this smoothie deliciously refreshing not only because it tastes good but I like the chilled effect from the frozen fruit.

The flax seeds also contain protein and are a great source of omega three oils and the probotic will help support your digestion through out the day.

The porridge oats release their energy slowly too so will help keep hunger at bay until lunch time.
